Stan Lockhart

Stan Lockhart is what you might call a goal-setter and go-getter. He’s ubiquitous throughout Utah — from his work as a lobbyist in the state legislature and building the Utah Valley business community as the interim president of the Utah Valley Chamber of Commerce to serving on boards of UVU and the Boys and Girls Club of Utah County, he’s a builder. But, after the unexpected death of his first wife, former Speaker of the House Becky Lockhart, in 2015, he set his go-getting to marathons. Now, in his tenth year of 26.2-mile adventures, he’s completed 29 marathons and has races in Japan and Antarctica on the docket this month, finishing his “run a marathon on every continent” goal. The Tokyo race this month will also complete his collection of running in the six world major marathons.
